Hi all, We are pretty busy here at the Dropoff Café, leading up to another hectic and eventful spring season of mountain biking. The past few months has seen some pretty exciting changes in and around the Glyncorrwg mountain biking trails, and we have certainly been kept on our toes and peddles with trail building and event organising. Attached is an invite to the latest event, the 2006 Spring Kick –Off Party . But book early to avoid disappointment as spaces are limited. The past few months has seen the opening of the Afan Uplifts on the Skyline Trail. For all the lardy pie eaters amongst us, this will cut out most of the hard work and give you a not-so-smooth ride to the top of the mountain so all your energy is saved for the way down!! The Whites Level has undergone some changes in the past few months. Look out for the new NRG section opening in June/July, it has a great winding descent with some table tops and ‘technical bits' chucked in for fun. ‘The Hut' is another new part of the Whites Level, with North shores, jumps, berms, doubles and table tops to keep a smile on your face. We are really proud here at the Dropoff Centre to be situated in the heart of one of the greatest places to mountain bike in the country. The area is as picturesque and tranquil as you would expect from a true South Wales valley. The scenery is truly breathtaking and is visited by people all over the globe who come to witness the beauty of the area as well as the friendly welcome the local people provide. The Dropoff café is also now renowned for its home cooked, delicious food, serving everything from healthy snacks to smoothies and specialty coffees. That's it for now, we look forward to seeing you at the party. Cheers, Ian and the peeps at the Dropoff. |
